Ideally we are looking for a well-maintained roof. Solar power systems are expected to last for over 30 years and they protect the roof from getting old or weathered quickly, so it makes sense to replace an old roof or refurbish and aging one, so once the panels are installed you never have to worry about roof maintenance.
