Although this was our installation team’s first large scale utility project, it was completed on time and under budget.
The beginning of the project required working with the civil subcontractor to coordinate the underground electrical and racking installation. Daily meetings and project coordination were critical so that trackers could be installed while pile driving continued to minimize down-time and interruptions. The electrical build-out required low voltage DC (under 1000VDC), medium voltage to the utility at 14.5kV, equipment pad construction and installation of inverters, transformers and switchgears.
Additional work also included the telecommunications underground and infrastructure with AT&T. Our team’s in-house crews minimized unnecessary cost mark-ups to our customers.
