This house has a tile roof with limited space and a very lush garden that made it difficult to find room for 36 solar panels. As a creative approach, Vaha installed the panels on a patio structure that was especially built to house the solar panels. The structure is tilted to the south for optimum power generation and at 15 ft high, it clears most of the plants and provides minimal shade to the solar panels.
The 36-panel solar system offsets almost all of the client’s electricity bills with an ROI of 16.1% and a payback period of 4 years.
